Portuguese Coastal Way from Vigo

In recent years, the Portuguese Way has been one of the most increasing among pilgrims. An alternative to the traditional passage through the interior is the Portuguese Coastal Way.

The Portuguese Coastal Way from Vigo is a wonderful route that follows the Atlantic coast, offering spectacular landscapes and a unique experience for pilgrims.

The dream landscapes, with views of the rugged coasts of southern Galicia and the Rías Baixas. And the food is something special, since you can taste delicious fish and seafood from the area, as well as enjoy its unique wine.

More and more pilgrims decide to walk this version of the Camino de Santiago: a great experience before reaching the Cathedral.

What is included?

• 4 nights of accommodation in rural houses / charming hotels on a half-board basis (dinner and breakfast) during the Camino. 
• 1 night of hotel accommodation in Vigo on a bed and breakfast basis.
• 1 night of hotel accommodation in Santiago de Compostela on a bed and breakfast basis. 
• Transfer at the end of the stage to the rural house and vice versa (when necessary). 
• Luggage transfer during the stages. 1 package per person (max. 15kg/package). 
• Shell and Pilgrim's Credential.
• Basic insurance.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Vigo at your own.

Accommodation in Vigo.

Day 2: Stage 1 "Vigo - Redondela" (16km)

After breakfast, the first stage of the pilgrimage begins. Once you reach Rúa Toledo you will begin to see the famous yellow arrows that will guide you on your journey. Dinner and accommodation in the Redondela area.

Day 3: Stage 2 "Redondela - Pontevedra" (18 km).

Breakfast and continuation of the pilgrimage. Dinner and accommodation in the Pontevedra area.

Day 4: Stage 3 "Pontevedra - Caldas de Reis" (22.80 Km).

Breakfast and continuation of the pilgrimage. Dinner and accommodation in the Caldas de Reis area.

Day 5: Stage 4 "Caldas de Reis - Padrón" (18.70 Km).

Breakfast and continuation of the pilgrimage. Dinner and accommodation in the Padrón area.

Day 6: Stage 5 “Padrón - Santiago de Compostela” (24.90 km)

After breakfast, continuation of the pilgrimage. A bit less than 25 km left to reach the goal: Santiago de Compostela.  Accommodation in a hotel in Santiago de Compostela.

Day 7: Santiago de Compostela

Breakfast and end of service.

The distances of the stages are approximate. The end of the stage may change depending on the location of the accommodations and the transfer.

Useful information

* Accommodations' double rooms are not guaranteed to have two beds.

* Reservation requests must be made at least 14 days before the start of the pilgrimage.
