Portuguese Way from Tui on 6 stages at rural tourism houses

The Portuguese Way, still booming, is proving to be a great discovery, as more than 8000 pilgrims are now opting for this route.

With this package, we take you on a journey through the final stages of the Camino Portugués. We start from Tui, a discreet gem of Galicia, and traverse the southern region of Galicia, a land of art and wine.

All of this for you to enjoy eight days and seven nights in rural houses. Recharge your energy in a privileged, clean, and healthy environment, as a challenge of over twenty kilometers per day awaits you.

Covering a little less than 120 km of green fields, unforgettable views, rugged coastlines, and memories that will stay with you forever.

Remember that you can request the Compostela upon your arrival, as long as you meet the requirements specified for it.

What is included?

• 4 nights of accommodation in rural tourism houses in half board (dinner and breakfast) during the Way.
• 3 nights of accommodation in in B&B (1 Tui, 1 Redondela and 1 in Santiago de Compostela)
• Transfer of pilgrims from/to the Camino when rural houses are not located at the end of the stage.
• Luggage transfer during the pilgrimage: 1 piece of luggage per person (max. 15 kg) .
• Basic travel insurance.
• VAT.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival by your own to Tui.
Accommodation in Tui and free dinner.

Day 2: 1st Stage "Tui - O Porriño" (18,10 Km).
Breakfast and an initial push that takes us to Porriño, not without passing through A Ponte das Febres, crossing the San Simón River. Dinner and accommodation in a rural house in the O Porriño area.

Day 3: 2nd Stage "O Porriño - Redondela" (16,80 Km). 
After breakfast, the pilgrimage continues towards Redondela. It's a short stage  and accommodation in a rural house in the Redondela area. Free dinner. 

Day 4: 3rd Stage "Redondela - Pontevedra" (18 Km). 
After breakfast, the pilgrimage continues. This stage runs practically at sea level. Before reaching our destination, we will pass through Arcade, Ponte Sampaio, Cacheiro, or Figueirido. Dinner and accommodation will be provided in a rural house in Pontevedra.

Day 5: 4th Stage "Pontevedra - Caldas de Reis" (22,80 Km). 
After breakfast, the pilgrimage continues. Having reached the capital of the province, you'll head towards Caldas de Reis, with Ponte Balbón halfway along the way. Dinner and accommodation will be provided in a rural house in the Caldas de Reis area.

Day 6: 5th Stage "Caldas de Reis - Padrón" (18,70 Km). 
After breakfast, the pilgrimage continues towards Padrón. Santa Mariña de Carracedo or San Miguel de Valga are some of the localities you'll pass through before reaching your destination. Dinner and accommodation will be provided in a rural house in the Padrón area.

Day 7: 6th Stage “Padrón - Santiago de Compostela” (24,90 km)
After breakfast, the pilgrimage continues with the last remaining almost 25 km to reach the goal. Halfway through, you will pass through Rúa de Francos, at an altitude of about 120 meters, before continuing to climb towards Compostela. Accommodation will be provided in a hotel in Santiago de Compostela.

Day 8: Santiago de Compostela
Breakfast and end our services.

The lenght of the stages is approximate. The end of the stage may be altered due to the location of the accommodation.

Useful information

Reservation requests must be made at least 14 days before the start of the pilgrimage.

Optional services

• Extra night accomodation in Santiago de Compostela.
• Private transfer to the beginning of the pilgrimage.
• One day trips (regular or private) to Finisterre, Rías Baixas, Ribeira Sacra...etc., guided tour in Santiago de Compostela.
• Optional travel insurance.
