Walking the French Way from Sarria over the last 100 km to Santiago de Compostela with your pet can be a wonderful and enriching experience. You can stay in wonderful Petfriendly accommodations, where your pet will also feel at home.

Did you know that also your Pilgrim-pet can get their own Perregrina or Canine Compostela? This special certificate can be requested at the Asociación Protectora de Animáis do Camiño (APACA) in Santiago de Compostela. Just make shure to get your Pet's Credential stamped along the Way.

Walking the Camino with your pet adds a special dimension to your pilgrimage, it creates unforgattable memories and will strenghen your bond!

What is included?

  • Accommodation stays in hotels/pension:
  • 7 nights of accommodation with breakfast along the Camino.
  • 1 pet per room.
  • Luggage transfer during the stages: 1 bag per person (max. 15kg/bag).
  • Shell and Pilgrim's Credential.
  • Basic insurance.
  • VAT.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Tui at your own.
Accommodation in hotel/pension in Tui.

Day 2 : Stage 1 " Tui – Porriño " (15 Km.). 
After breakfast, we start the first stage of the pilgrimage.
Accommodation in hotel/pension in Porriño.

Day 3 : Stage 2 "Porriño – Redondela " (16 Km). 
Breakfast and continuation of the pilgrimage.
Accommodation in hotel/pension in Redondela. 

Day 4: Stage 3 "Redondela – Pontevedra" (20 Km)
Breakfast and continuation of the pilgrimage.
Accommodation in hotel/pension in Pontevedra. 

Day 5: Stage 4 "Pontevedra - Caldas de Reis" (20,7 Km).
Breakfast and continuation of the pilgrimage.
Accommodation in hotel/pension in Caldas de Reis. 

Day 6 : Stage 5 "Caldas de Reis - Padrón" (18,6 Km). 
Breakfast and continuation of the pilgrimage. Accommodation in hotel/pension in Padrón. 

Day 7: Stage 6 "Padrón - Santiago de Compostela" (23,9 Km).
After breakfast, we start the last stage of the pilgrimage. Accommodation in a hotel in Santiago de Compostela. 

Day 8: Santiago de Compostela
Breakfast and end of our services. 

Useful information

* In the accommodations it is not guaranteed that double rooms have two beds. 

* Reservation requests must be made at least 14 days before the start of the pilgrimage.

Tips for Traveling with a Dog:

Accommodations: Our accommodations are tested and selected to welcome your pet.

Food and Water: Bring enough water and food for your pet, and plan stops so they can rest and eat.

Health and Safety: Make sure your pet is up to date with its vaccinations and carry its health record. Consider taking a basic emergency kit.

Footwear and Protection: The terrain can be hard on your dog's paws. Wear dog boots or check and clean their paws regularly.

Waste: Carry bags to collect excrement and keep the path clean.
