Description

Portuguese Way from Porto to Santiago de Compostela (12 stages)

The Portuguese Way began to gain relevance from the 12th century, when Portugal became independent. This route ran along old Roman roads, and was a connecting element during centuries of political and social dispersion.

Today, the Portuguese Way is the route to Compostela that arouses the most curiosity, and with good reason: wonderful cities, gentle landscapes, mild climate and a gentle route.

Oporto is the fourth city of origin of the Camino de Santiago chosen by pilgrims. And it is the starting point of this program. The route continues in Galicia bordering the Rías de Vigo and Pontevedra, combining mountains and sea. Your accommodation will be in hotels / rural houses in the area.
