Portuguese Way from Porto

The Portuguese way used to go over the ancient roman paths and it suposed a connection during political and social dispersion.   Nowadays, the Portuguese Way is the route that more curiosity aroses and it is worthy. Beautyful cities, soft landscapes, good weather and a gentle path. We invite you to do the last 6 stages. From Tui as Starting point we may go over the south of Galicia, a wine and art territory.

You will enjoy eight days and seven nigths of accommodation at rural houses in half board. Remember to recharge your batteries because a 20 km challenge is waiting for you everyday.

We offer you the luggage transfer from one accommodation to the next one and private transfer to the rural houses if they are far from the end of the stage.

• 11 nights of accommodation in hotels / rural accommodation in half board (dinner and breakfast) during the Way.
• 1 night of accommodation in a hotel in Porto in B&B.
• 1 night of accommodation in a hotel in Santiago de Compostela in B&B.
• Transfer from/to the Way when the lodgings are not placed by the route.
• Luggage transfer during the pilgrimage: 1 piece of luggage per person (max. 15kg).
• Basic travel insurance.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival on your own to Porto.
Accommodation in a hotel in Porto. 

Day 2: Stage 1 Porto --> "Vilar do Pinheiro – Arcos (Vila do Conde)" (20 km) 
After breakfast, transfer to the starting point of the Camino in Vilar do Pinheiro, from where we start the pilgrimage to Arcos.

Dinner and accommodation in Arcos.

Day 3: Stage 2 "Arcos (Vila do Conde) – Barcelos" (20 km)
Dinner and accommodation in Barcelos.

Day 4: Stage 3 "Barcelos – Balugâes" (15 km)
Dinner and accommodation in Balugâes.

Day 5: Stage 4 "Balugâes - Ponte de Lima" (18 km)
Dinner and accommodation in Ponte de Lima.

Day 6: Stage 5 "Ponte da Lima – Cossourado (Paredes de Coura)" (22 km)
Dinner and accommodation in Cossourado.

Day 7: Stage 6 "Cossourado (Paredes de Coura) – Tui" (17 km)
Dinner and accommodation in Tui.

Day 8: Stage 7 "Tui – Redondela" (34,5 km)
Dinner and accommodation in Redondela.

Day 9: Stage 8 "Redondela – Pontevedra" (18,2 km) 
Dinner and accommodation in Pontevedra.

Day 10: Stage 9 "Pontevedra - Caldas de Reis" (22,9 km)
Dinner and accommodation in Caldas de Reis.

Day 11: Stage 10 "Caldas de Reis - Padrón" (18,8 km)
Dinner and accommodation in Padrón. 

Day 12: Stage 11 "Padrón - Santiago de Compostela" (25,2 km)
Accommodation in a hotel in Santiago de Compostela.

Day 13: Santiago de Compostela

After breakfast, end of the program.

Useful information

*In the rural houses we can not guarantee twin beds in the rooms.*

*The requests have to be done at least with 14 days in advance of the beginning of the Way.*

Optional services

• Extra night of accommodation in Porto and / or Santiago de Compostela.
• Private transfer to the beginning of the pilgrimage.
• One day tours (regular or private) to Finisterre, Rías Baixas, Ribeira Sacra...etc., guided tour of Santiago de Compostela...etc.
• Optional insurance with coverage of cancellation expenses.
