Description
English Way from Ferrol in hotels/guest houses
Galicia is the land of a thousand countries. Each region has its own charm and personality, and the different Caminos de Santiago show us a different place from the north to the south.
The English Way (Camino Inglés) is one of the most interesting but less-traveled routes among all the paths that lead to Compostela. Currently, it ranks as the fifth most popular route behind the French Way, the Portuguese Way (interior and coastal), and the Northern Way.
It was the route followed by pilgrims from Scandinavian countries, the Netherlands, northern France, and primarily England, Ireland, and Scotland. After a sea voyage, they would arrive in Galicia through the ports of Ribadeo, Viveiro, A Coruña, or Ferrol, in the gulf known as the Ártabro Sea.
The English Way is a route that falls somewhere in the middle in terms of difficulty level, not as challenging as the Primitive Way nor as straightforward as the Portuguese Way, but absolutely charming.
Furthermore, on this route, you will have the opportunity to stay in hotels or guesthouses along the way at the end of each stage.
Remember that this section is over 100km long, so if you meet the rest of the requirements, you can request the certificate of the Compostela.
