Description

French Way from Ponferrada in Hotels / Pensions

The French Way is the best known pilgrimage route among the different historical routes that reach Santiago de Compostela. It is therefore the busiest and where you will find all kinds of facilities for pilgrims.

It has been also the most awarded, since the Council of Europe recognized it as the "I European Cultural Itinerary" in 1987 and it has been distinguished by UNESCO as a "Cultural Heritage of Humanity" in 1993.

In this program we begin the adventure in the medieval city of Ponferrada. An 11-day journey in which you will walk the French Way until arriving in the Plaza del Obradoiro, in Santiago de Compostela. At the end of your pilgrimage of over 200km, you will be able to request the Compostela, the document that certifies the pilgrimage.

On each stage, you will spend the night in hotels or pensions on a half-board basis, where we can taste Bercian and Galician cuisine. Of course, you don't have to worry about your backpack, as we offer a backpack / luggage transportation service on each stage of your Camino.
